The only thing that had been able to write to it has been EFS explorer and.we can't access nvm folder on the G900P and N900P therefore we're kinda stuck. It's unreadable and unwritable by DFS and CDMA workshop. So.the first question should be how do we unlock this folder? Well on the G900P and N900P there isn't a 4.2.2 modem to downgrade to like the L720. Notice how the nvm folder is NOW readable (and therefore writable)? You're SUPPOSED to be able to see the folder after sending the password (if you tried to access it in EFS explorer on MDC without sending the 16 char password it'll still be locked -)). Do the same steps with the SPC, password, and EFS explorer. NOW take the L720 MDC baseband (4.2.2) and load it through Odin. Notice how the NVM folder is locked? That's how it is on any phone on 4.3 and newer basebands. Connect it to the computer over DIAG and find a way to send the SPC and 16 char password. Take a L720 on a 4.4.2 baseband (such as NAE). Right click to directory and use Copy item file from PC. Then open EFS Explorer on your computer and navigate to /nv/itemfiles/modem/mmode. Download ZIP package and extract to your computer below. If you have a L720 in your hands you can easily see what I'm talking about. Qualcomm diag driver installed and access to QPST/EFS May require rooted device Let’s start.
